Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir played a decisive role in helping the world avoid a major international crisis, expressing hope that the talks held in Islamabad would pave the way for durable global peace.
Speaking exclusively to Jang in Karachi, Rana Mashhood said Pakistan’s leadership once again demonstrated wisdom, strategic maturity, and diplomatic balance at a critical moment for regional and international stability. He noted that the dialogue process hosted in Islamabad has strengthened hopes for a sustainable peace framework and has elevated Pakistan’s stature on the world stage. Pakistan’s leadership has recently received international recognition for its mediation efforts and peace focused diplomacy, further reinforcing this narrative.
He said Pakistan has consistently pursued dialogue over confrontation and has proven that it can serve as a bridge during moments of high tension. According to him, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s political foresight, combined with the strategic confidence of Field Marshal Asim Munir, helped steer the situation away from a potentially dangerous escalation.
Rana Mashhood further said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have always held Karachi close to their hearts, which is why Nehal Hashmi was appointed as Governor Sindh. He added that there is strong expectation that more capable and loyal figures from Karachi and Sindh may soon be given key positions at the federal level.
He also linked this political confidence with the federal government’s broader focus on Sindh, especially youth development, education, and economic opportunity under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. Officials believe the coming weeks may bring further important announcements for Karachi and the province as a whole.
