KARACHI – Raza Nazar, a law student from Karachi, has been elected as the Secretary of the prestigious Oxford Union, a position previously held by notable figures, including former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto during her time at Oxford University.
Raza secured the office with an impressive 590 first-preference votes in the recent election. His victory highlights the growing representation of Pakistani students in prominent international institutions and their significant contributions to global platforms.
The Oxford Union, renowned for its tradition of debate and dialogue, has been a launching pad for many influential leaders, and Raza’s election adds another milestone to its history of diversity and excellence.
