Overseas Pakistanis in Tokyo Celebrate One Year of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos With National Pride

TOKYO: A grand and patriotic gathering was organized in Tokyo under the leadership of Overseas Pakistan Foundation Board of Governor Chaudhry Asif Mahmood to mark the completion of one year of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, the historic military response that became a symbol of Pakistan’s unity, strength, and determination during tensions with India.

The prestigious event brought together more than one hundred members of the Pakistani community living in Japan, including political leaders, business personalities, social activists, and community representatives. Among the distinguished guests were Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan Abdul Hamid, Chairman of Pakistan مسلم League-N Japan Malik Younas, President of Pakistan Peoples Party Japan Shahid Majeed, prominent businessman Ramzan Siddiq, and several senior members of the overseas Pakistani community.

The hall echoed with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” as participants paid tribute to the sacrifices and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Speakers described Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos as a defining moment in Pakistan’s modern history, saying the operation not only defended the country against external aggression but also united the entire nation under one flag.

Addressing the ceremony, Ambassador of Pakistan Abdul Hamid said that the anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos reminds Pakistanis around the world that nations achieve greatness when their people stand united. He stated that Pakistan’s leadership, armed forces, and citizens demonstrated extraordinary courage and discipline during the difficult period, sending a strong message to the world that Pakistan’s sovereignty and dignity are non-negotiable.

The ambassador praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his diplomatic leadership and calm statesmanship during the crisis, while also paying tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his strategic military leadership and commitment to national defense. He said the success of the operation boosted the confidence and morale of Pakistanis living both inside and outside the country.

Host of the event, Chaudhry Asif Mahmood, said that Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos would always be remembered as a historic chapter of courage and patriotism. He noted that overseas Pakistanis closely followed every development during the conflict and stood firmly behind Pakistan’s armed forces. He added that the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir united the nation at a critical moment and demonstrated Pakistan’s military capability to the world.

Chairman PML-N Japan Malik Younas said the operation strengthened national unity and restored confidence among Pakistanis globally. He praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for presenting Pakistan’s position effectively at the international level and said the government and armed forces worked together with remarkable coordination during the crisis.

PPP Japan President Shahid Majeed also addressed the gathering and said Pakistan’s success belonged to the entire nation beyond political divisions. He said moments like Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos remind the country that unity, discipline, and patriotism remain Pakistan’s greatest strengths. He praised the armed forces for their professionalism and paid tribute to the resilience of the Pakistani people.

Prominent businessman Ramzan Siddiq and several other community leaders also expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s leadership and armed forces. They said the successful defense of the country raised the morale of overseas Pakistanis and strengthened their emotional connection with their homeland.

The ceremony concluded with special prayers for Pakistan’s stability, prosperity, and continued progress. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Pakistan from abroad and expressed hope that the spirit of unity shown during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos would continue to guide the nation toward a stronger and brighter future.
