Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has sealed the Hill Park Trade Centre, located on Shaheed-e-Millat Road, citing a dispute over the building’s legal title. Authorities acted after receiving complaints regarding the ownership documents of the property.
According to sources, the SBCA’s action followed complaints filed by the rightful owners of the land, who claimed irregularities in the building’s legal status. In response, the SBCA initiated the sealing of the property to prevent further complications.
In a notification issued by the SBCA, it was stated that any attempt to break the seal would be considered illegal. The notification warned that those found guilty of violating the seal could face legal consequences, including potential arrests.
This development highlights ongoing disputes over land ownership in Karachi, where several high-profile cases have emerged in recent years. The sealing of the Hill Park Trade Centre is expected to bring more attention to property ownership issues in the city.
The SBCA has confirmed that investigations are underway to resolve the dispute and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Further details about the case are awaited as authorities continue their probe.
