Maulana Abdul Sattar, head of Bait-us-Salam Welfare Trust and a renowned religious scholar, has said that taking up arms against an Islamic state is absolutely impermissible and falls under open rebellion and terrorism. He stressed that Pakistan is an Islamic country where Islamic laws are in force, and at present, the greatest need is for intellectual and educational jihad to lift the nation out of poverty and backwardness.

He emphasized that the true jihad is through education, research, and hard work, because those who spread bloodshed are in fact enemies of both the country and the Muslim Ummah. According to him, the Bait-us-Salam Welfare Trust is striving day and night to promote modern and religious education, equipping thousands of students with knowledge. With the generosity of the Pakistani people, hundreds of thousands of students are gaining access to both worldly and religious education.

Maulana Abdul Sattar further said that if the rulers purify their intentions and character, Pakistan has the ability to repay a large portion of its debts solely through public cooperation. Even a symbolic contribution of five rupees per citizen per month, he argued, could significantly reduce the national debt within a few years. However, this requires honesty, sincerity, and trust-building from the leadership.

He also welcomed Pakistan’s recent agreement with Saudi Arabia, calling it a “game-changer” that would not only strengthen bilateral ties but also serve as a foundation for greater unity among Muslim nations. Maulana Abdul Sattar said it is a matter of pride for the Pakistani nation that Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with the honor of being counted among the servants of Haramain Sharifain.
