Tokyo: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has formally established its Advisory Council in Japan, marking an important step toward strengthening engagement with the Pakistani community residing in the country. The official notification for the formation of the council has been issued by the Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Syed Qamar Raza Shah.

Welcoming the development, community leader Asad Nawaz extended his heartfelt congratulations to all newly appointed members of the Advisory Council. In a congratulatory message, he expressed optimism that the council members would work with sincerity, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility to serve the Pakistani community in Japan.

“As the Advisory Council begins its work, I hope that all members will utilize their abilities and experience to contribute to the welfare, development, and prosperity of the Pakistani community in Japan,” Asad Nawaz said.
He further emphasized that the newly established body has the potential to play a significant role beyond community affairs by strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Japan. According to him, the council can serve as an important platform for promoting trade, diplomatic engagement, cultural understanding, and social cooperation between the two friendly nations.
Community representatives have welcomed the establishment of the OPF Japan Advisory Council, describing it as a positive initiative that will provide overseas Pakistanis with a stronger voice and better coordination with institutions in Pakistan. They expressed hope that the council would address the concerns of expatriates and work towards creating new opportunities for the Pakistani diaspora in Japan.

In his message, Asad Nawaz also prayed for the success of the council and its members, saying, “May Almighty Allah guide us, grant us steadfastness, and enable us to serve our beloved homeland and our community with honesty and dedication.”
The formation of the OPF Japan Advisory Council is being seen as a significant milestone for the Pakistani diaspora in Japan, opening a new chapter of community engagement and cooperation aimed at promoting the interests of overseas Pakistanis while further strengthening the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Japan.
