Islamabad — The International Association of Pakistani Journalists (IAPJ) made a remarkable appearance at the Overseas Pakistanis Convention held in Islamabad. The delegation was led by IAPJ President Shahi Chauhan, accompanied by Chairman Wasim Chaudhry and several other prominent journalists, who traveled from across the world to participate in this historic gathering.

During the convention, the IAPJ leadership appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Saleh Hussain, and the OPF (Overseas Pakistanis Foundation) head Syed Qamar Raza, acknowledging their dedication to strengthening ties with the overseas community.

Speaking on the occasion, Shahi Chauhan expressed his optimism, stating, “This convention will play a pivotal role in bringing overseas Pakistanis closer to their homeland. We are confident that it will encourage substantial foreign investment into Pakistan by overseas Pakistanis. Our love is solely for Pakistan, not for any individual or group.”

Echoing these sentiments, Chairman Wasim Chaudhry added that overseas Pakistanis have always prioritized the prosperity of their motherland over any personal affiliations. He remarked, “People may come and go, but the love overseas Pakistanis hold for Pakistan remains unwavering. Sending over four billion dollars in remittances within a single month is a clear testament to their patriotism and commitment to the nation’s progress.”

The enthusiastic participation of the IAPJ delegation highlighted the crucial role of overseas media and journalists in connecting expatriates with their homeland and advocating for their issues at the highest levels. The convention has not only created a sense of belonging among overseas Pakistanis but has also paved the way for stronger engagement and future investment opportunities in Pakistan.

With such gatherings, it is evident that overseas Pakistanis are not only an economic lifeline but also a passionate and dedicated segment of the nation, deeply committed to Pakistan’s growth and global image.
