ISLAMABAD, August 14, 2025 — Speaking at the “CPEC in My Eyes” seminar alongside Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasir described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as a symbol of decades-long friendship, mutual trust, and shared prosperity between the two countries.
He stressed that CPEC is more than just infrastructure, roads, and power plants; it is a vision for hope, partnership, and inclusive growth. Since 2015, the project has created over 236,000 jobs, added more than 8,000 megawatts of electricity to the national grid, and revolutionized infrastructure nationwide.
Calling Gwadar the “heart and gateway” of CPEC, he said its development would benefit not just Balochistan but the entire region, helping to reduce economic disparities. He urged greater private sector involvement, technology transfer, and industrial growth to maximize CPEC’s benefits, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with China.
