ISLAMABAD, October 24, 2026: Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar has welcomed the decision to initiate immediate recruitment against vacant federal government posts from Grade 1 to 16 under Balochistan’s provincial quota, describing the move as an important step towards expanding employment opportunities and improving the province’s representation in national institutions.
Speaking during meetings with delegations at Parliament House, he said the initiative, undertaken in accordance with directions from the Prime Minister’s Office, would help eligible candidates from Balochistan secure employment and participate more effectively in the country’s development.
Nasar stressed that vacant positions reserved for the province should be filled promptly through a recruitment process that upholds merit and facilitates applicants. Providing young people with their rightful share in federal employment, he said, was essential for economic stability, public prosperity and balanced national development.

He also welcomed the establishment of the Balochistan Federal Government Facilitation Centre, describing it as an important development in supporting candidates seeking federal employment. Special relaxation in the upper age limit, allowing eligible applicants up to 35 years of age to apply for posts up to Grade 16, would broaden access to these opportunities, he added.
The acting chairman met Senator Abdul Shakoor Khan, National Assembly member Dr Farhan Chishti, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly member Sehrish Qamar, and delegations led by prominent transporter Malik Ishaq Kakar and Parliamentary Secretary and provincial assembly member Raja Hanif. Former deputy mayor Mir Younas Baloch, traders, investors and representatives of different sectors also attended the meetings.

Discussions covered Balochistan’s development, its quota in federal employment, economic stability, investment, trade and the promotion of business activities.
Nasar said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took a special interest in Balochistan’s development, prosperity and public welfare. The federal government, he added, was committed to improving living standards, creating opportunities for young people and bringing them into the mainstream of national development.
He emphasised that recruitment against the province’s allocated quota should provide eligible candidates with fair opportunities to contribute their skills to federal institutions.
“Balochistan’s development and prosperity are closely linked to Pakistan’s overall progress,” he said, calling for practical measures to expand employment, strengthen investor confidence and encourage commercial activity.

The acting chairman highlighted the contribution of traders, investors and the business community to the national economy. Greater investment and trade in Balochistan, he observed, would generate jobs, stimulate economic activity and improve household incomes.
He called for closer cooperation among government institutions, business representatives and other stakeholders to address public concerns and support sustainable economic progress.
Nasar also urged all segments of society to rise above political affiliations and place the national interest first. Political harmony, unity and mutual cooperation, he said, were necessary to address the country’s challenges effectively.
Reaffirming his commitment to balanced development across Pakistan, the acting chairman said collective efforts must focus on resolving public problems, generating employment for young people and strengthening economic stability. Ensuring that Balochistan receives its allocated share in federal jobs, he added, would be an important part of that broader national effort.
