With profound sorrow, I received the heartbreaking news of the passing of Ameer-ul-Azeem Sahib. Indeed, “To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return” (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un).
Today, we mourn the loss of a distinguished leader, an extraordinary human being, and a tireless advocate of peace, humanity, and interfaith harmony. His humility, spirituality, wisdom, and selfless service touched countless lives. His sincerity, unwavering dedication, and noble character will always be remembered, and his invaluable contributions to fostering understanding between different faiths will remain a lasting legacy.

While he served the nation of Pakistan with exceptional sincerity and commitment, he also rendered invaluable service to the Sikh community with honesty, respect, and devotion. He firmly believed that faith should unite people rather than divide them, and throughout his life he exemplified this noble principle through his words and actions.
For the Sikh community, Ameer-ul-Azeem Sahib was a true bridge-builder. Just as Hazrat Mian Mir Ji is revered for laying the foundation stone of Sri Harmandir Sahib (Darbar Sahib), Amritsar, Ameer-ul-Azeem Sahib revived that same spirit of love, mutual respect, and selfless service through his life’s work.
I consider myself truly blessed and deeply grateful to Waheguru for having had the privilege of working and performing seva alongside Ameer-ul-Azeem Sahib, Bhai Sham Singh Ji, General Javed Nasir, Veer Ji, and many other devoted sevadars in the restoration, preservation, and care (seva sambhal) of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, as well as many other historic Gurdwaras in Pakistan that had fallen into neglect after 1947. Through our collective dedication and tireless efforts, we helped preserve this invaluable shared heritage while strengthening the bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and harmony between the Muslim and Sikh communities. I personally learned a great deal from his humility, vision, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to serving humanity.

Ameer-ul-Azeem Sahib’s life was a shining example of compassion, humility, service, and unity. He demonstrated through both word and deed that genuine respect, love, and service to humanity transcend all religious, cultural, and national boundaries. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations to work for peace, understanding, and the common good.
The Sikh community across the world stands united in grief and prayer. Ardas for the peace of his soul is being offered in Gurdwaras worldwide as we remember with gratitude his extraordinary contributions to humanity and to the preservation of our shared spiritual heritage.
May Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat and bless his family, loved ones, and all those mourning his loss with patience, strength, and peace during this time of immense sorrow.
Ameer-ul-Azeem Sahib will forever remain in our hearts. His legacy of service, humility, compassion, and unity will continue to inspire generations to come. His memory will never be forgotten.
With deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers,
