Tokyo, Japan — November 2025:
A distinguished reception was hosted at Siddiq Palace, located near the iconic Tokyo Tower, by renowned Pakistani businessman and philanthropist Mr. Ramzan Siddiq in honor of Mr. Muhammad Naseer, Director General of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Commissioner of the Pakistan Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka.
The event was graced by H.E. Mr. Abdul Hameed, Ambassador of Pakistan to Japan, as Chief Guest, while Mr. Muhammad Naseer attended as Guest of Honor. The gathering brought together a large number of distinguished members of the Pakistani community, business leaders, diplomats, and friends of Pakistan from across Japan.


Among the prominent attendees were Mr. Tariq Puri, former Chairman of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan; Commercial Counsellor and Community Welfare Attaché from the Embassy of Pakistan; Mr. Malik Noor Awan, President of PML-N Japan; Mr. Shahid Majeed, President of the PPP Japan Chapter; senior community representatives; and former Olympic boxing legend Syed Hussain Shah, along with other leading figures of the Pakistani diaspora.
Ambassador Abdul Hameed Praises TDAP’s Achievement at Expo 2025






In his address, Ambassador Abdul Hameed warmly commended the outstanding performance of the Pakistan Pavilion under the dynamic leadership of Muhammad Naseer, noting that it had become one of the most admired and visited pavilions at Expo 2025 Osaka. He highlighted the pavilion’s creative concept, cultural depth, and strong branding of Pakistan’s heritage, craftsmanship, and trade potential.
The Ambassador congratulated the TDAP team for winning two prestigious awards — the Bronze Award for Design Excellence and the Editors’ Choice Award — calling it “a proud moment for every Pakistani.” He added that the recognition received at the Expo had strengthened Pakistan’s image and opened new opportunities for trade and investment partnerships between Pakistan and Japan.






Tributes from the Community
Host Mr. Ramzan Siddiq, in his welcoming remarks, paid glowing tribute to Mr. Naseer for his professionalism, dedication, and tireless efforts in presenting Pakistan at an international platform with dignity and distinction. He said that the success of the Pakistan Pavilion was the result of teamwork led by a visionary official who worked with sincerity and passion. “Mr. Naseer has not only elevated the image of Pakistan abroad but also inspired overseas Pakistanis to take pride in their country,” he noted.
Mr. Malik Noor Awan, President of PML-N Japan, said that the leadership demonstrated by TDAP under Mr. Naseer’s guidance had set a new benchmark of excellence. He added that the pavilion’s success represented the brighter, progressive face of Pakistan that the community wishes to project in Japan.
Mr. Shahid Majeed, President of PPP Japan, echoed these sentiments, appreciating the Pakistan Pavilion for showcasing national unity, cultural diversity, and creative excellence. He remarked that the achievement reflected the dedication of all Pakistanis working to strengthen the country’s image globally.
Mr. Tariq Puri, former Chairman of TDAP, lauded Mr. Naseer’s contributions to trade diplomacy and said that his work had revived the institutional prestige of TDAP. He emphasized that strong leadership like Mr. Naseer’s ensures Pakistan’s sustainable participation in international trade exhibitions.
Mr. Muhammad Irfan Siddiqi, senior journalist and columnist based in Japan, described the pavilion’s success as a “landmark in Pakistan’s soft-image diplomacy.” He said that Muhammad Naseer’s name would be remembered for transforming the Expo 2025 Osaka Pavilion into a symbol of innovation and national pride.

The evening at Siddiq Palace reflected both pride and gratitude. Guests praised Mr. Ramzan Siddiq for his initiative in organizing the event, which not only celebrated the achievements of the TDAP team but also strengthened bonds within the Pakistani community in Japan.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and a dinner featuring traditional Pakistani cuisine.
