Tokyo: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Japan, Malik Noor Awan, has called on the Government of Pakistan to resume Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to Japan to facilitate the 35,000 Pakistanis residing there.
In this regard, Malik Noor Awan has formally written a letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, highlighting the difficulties faced by the Pakistani community in Japan. He stated that due to the suspension of direct PIA flights, Pakistanis are forced to rely on expensive and long-haul foreign airlines, causing them significant inconvenience.
Malik Noor Awan urged the government to prioritize this matter and issue directives for PIA to restore direct flights to Japan. He emphasized that this initiative would not only benefit the Pakistani community but also provide PIA with an opportunity to re-establish its presence in a strong international market.
This demand comes at a time when the Government of Pakistan is taking various steps to revive and improve PIA. The Pakistani community in Japan hopes that Ishaq Dar will consider this request seriously and take prompt action for a positive outcome.
