A solemn memorial and prayer ceremony was held in Tokyo under the auspices of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Japan to honor the martyrs of the Karsaz tragedy and their sacrifices for democracy. The event was organized by PPP Japan President Shahid Majeed, and attended by party leaders, community members, and prominent Pakistani figures residing in Japan.

The ceremony was graced by the Mayor of Sukkur and senior politician Syed Nasir Hussain Shah’s son, Syed Kumail Shah, who delivered a heartfelt address paying rich tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He highlighted her courageous leadership, political wisdom, and her unwavering struggle for the restoration and strengthening of democracy in Pakistan.

Renowned Pakistani journalist Suhail Warraich also attended the event and lauded Benazir Bhutto’s national services, her deep connection with the people, and her principled politics. He remarked that her martyrdom remains one of the most unforgettable chapters in Pakistan’s democratic history.
The ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the martyrs of Karsaz and for the eternal peace of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, as well as for Pakistan’s progress, unity, and stability. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to continue the mission of the martyrs of democracy with loyalty, determination, and ideological harmony.
