Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Meets Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan in Quetta

Islamabad (February 11, 2025) – Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan met with Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan in Quetta to discuss the province’s development, law and order, and ongoing development projects.

Syedal Khan emphasized that the development of Balochistan remains a top priority for the government. He stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is personally overseeing the province’s development projects and is committed to addressing Balochistan’s challenges on a priority basis.

“The release of funds for development projects in Balochistan is being expedited,” said the Acting Chairman Senate, adding that the Prime Minister wants to see these projects completed at the earliest. He further noted that Shehbaz Sharif has a special affection for the people of Balochistan and is determined to improve their quality of life.

The Acting Chairman Senate highlighted the need for creating more employment opportunities for the youth of Balochistan and equipping them with modern skills. He stressed that institutional coordination is crucial for the province’s development and assured that efforts are being made to integrate the people of Balochistan into the national development framework.

“Overcoming Balochistan’s underdevelopment requires a collective effort,” Syedal Khan said, reaffirming the government’s commitment to uplifting the living standards of the people in the province.

During the meeting, discussions also focused on the timely completion of development projects and the prompt release of funds. Syedal Khan assured that serious measures are being taken to resolve Balochistan’s issues and that all available resources will be utilized to ensure the province’s prosperity.
